This doll is Marme. She is from the earliest 8" Alexander-kins Little Women Set. Made in 1955 by Madame Alexander, marked Alex. She is an early straight leg walker.
Marme has her original brunette triple stitched wig, in the original set with curls held by a ribbon in back. She wears her original tagged green floral cotton dress with dark brown velvet trim. She also wears original white petticoat & pantlets with eyelet trim, and black side-snap shoes. One is original, one slightly newer.
