Dolls made by American Character

American Character was a major U.S. dollmaker for the first half of the 20th century. The company initially produced composition dolls but moved on to also make dolls of rubber, hard plastic, bisque and vinyl.

They went out of business in 1968, selling some of their assets to Ideal.
