This doll is Sweet Sue. Made by American Character in 1952, unmarked. She is 14" high, all jointed hard plastic with a strung body.
She has a nice, slightly suntanned complexion, original paint, blue sleep eyes, intact lashes, ruby lips & pink cheeks. Just one teensy light scuff on her nose.
Sue wears her original Alice In Wonderland Outfit. This includes a blue cotton dress, with a sheer white organdy pinafore apron over it. The apron has a black velvet bow at the neck, and a heart shaped pocket. She also wears matching blue bloomers, long white rayon stockings, and black center-snap oil cloth shoes.
