This doll is Amosandra. Marked: Amosandra Columbia Broadcasting System, N.Y., Designed by Ruth E. Newton, Mfd. by Sun Rubber Co., Usa, Pat #'s. Made in the 1940's, she was produced for the Amos & Andy CBS Radio Program.

Amosandra is 10" high, all jointed rubber (not vinyl). She has wonderful chocolate coloring, painted eyes, an open 'nurser mouth' and molded dark curls. Her body is bent-leg.

As is common with vintage rubber dolls, there is some deterioration & hardening.

Amosandra wears a vintage hand-made yellow sweater & cap.
