This doll is Contessa. Made in 1984 by Effanbee, designed by artist Edna Hibel from one of her paintings.
The doll is 13", all jointed vinyl. She has a wonderfully painted face with beautiful coloring. Her rooted auburn hair is prettily curled around her face.
Contessa wears an adorable ethnic outfit, including a blue cotton dress with embroidered trim & lace. Plus white petticoat, black stockings & little wooden clogs. On her head is a curled lace cap.
