This is a hard-to-find foreign issue Barbie Doll. Made in 1990 by Ban Dai of Japan. This Anime look Barbie was made for two years only. Marked on the box: 'I Love Barbie' Afternoon Party.

Barbie has a wonderful Japanese type face & curly blonde hair. She wears a pink gingham outfit. She comes with a pink plastic playset for an afternoon tea party. Also the original booklet & shoes.

Barbie has never been removed from the original box, with plastic window intact. The Japanese characters at the top of the box say "Barbie" and the larger characters in the bottom corner say "afternoon party" in katakana script.
