This doll is Abigail from the Morning Meadow Collection. Made by artist Robert Raikes in conjunction with Applause in 1990. Abigail stands 17" high with a carved wooden head, lower arms & legs, and a cloth stuffed body.

She has a wonderful hand painted face with inset blue eyes, delicate feathered brows, red lips & rosy cheeks. Her brunette wig is long, soft & curling down her back. Hair net still in place over her head.

Abigail wears an old fashioned outfit. This includes a burgundy print blouse & contrasting ivory floral jumper, all decorated with black ribbon trim. Also ivory pantaloons & eyelet trimmed petticoat. She has a large black bow in her hair & holds a sprig of pink flowers.

The doll is in her original box, still attached to a cardboard insert. I have just pulled the insert out for her photo. She is attached to a Raikes wooden stand, and has her original hang tag. She is one of 7,000 made as a limited edition.
