This is a complete set of The Fischer Quintuplets Dolls. The Quints birth in 1963 was a big event, before the rise of fertility drugs. This doll set was made by Natural Doll Co. for the W. T. Grant Stores in 1963-64. The dolls are unmarked, but a photo & description can be found in the book "The Encyclopedia of Celebrity Dolls" by John Axe, page 141.
There are five dolls; four girls & one boy. Each is 8" high, all jointed vinyl in the Ginnette style. They have molded brown hair, blue sleep eyes, molded lashes, open 'nurser' mouths & rosy cheeks and cute baby bodies.
Each doll wears its original white flannel diaper with pin. The four girls are wrapped in pink flannet blankets with pink rayon ribbon bows. The boy is wrapped in a matching blue blanket with blue rayon bow. A plastic bottle is attached to each wrist.
The dolls are displayed in a vintage wood & wicker cradle. This probably belonged to a Tiny Tears doll.
