This doll is Chatty Cathy. Made in 1960, she is the second issue doll. She stands 20" high, with a soft vinyl face and a hard vinyl & plastic body. Marked: Chatty Cathy Pat. Pending MCMLX Mattel, Inc. Hawthorne, Calif. She has an oval cloth covered speaker in her tummy.

She has a great face with nice coloring & original paint. She also has the harder to find brown eyes, bubblegum pink lips, freckles & pink cheeks.

Her speaker cord is intact, and she still speaks in a cute voice. She does speak a little fast, making her somewhat hard to understand.

Chatty wears her original tagged candy striped pink dress w/ white collar & cuffs, and her original ruffled knit panties. The dress has an added pink ribbon belt. She also wears replaced white socks & vintage pink suede shoes.
