This is an original #1 Barbie Doll. Made for a short time in 1959 only. Marked: Barbie Pats. Pend. MCMLVIII by Mattel Inc. This particular doll has been hidden away in the back of a glass doll cabinet for for the past 47 years.

She has a matte complexion with beautiful coloring and pink cheek blush. Her hair is glossy black, never combed out of the original ponytail set. She wears her original gold hoop earrings with no green ear.

The body is heavy & solid. It also has beautiful coloring with just two light spots on her buttocks, and a few very faint spots on her arms. Her finger & toenail polish is intact. She has holes in the bottom of each foot, with one copper tube showing, the other possibly pushed up inside.

She was found wearing a 1959 Winter Holiday outfit, standing on her original pronged stand. The outfit and stand are also pictured.
