This doll was made in 1957 by Ideal. She is one of the 17" pixie face Miss Revlon dolls. Not many were made as this character, and they are somewhat rare. Marked: VT-18 (very lightly). She is the Pink Fairy Princess Ballerina. She has a soft vinyl head & rigid vinyl fashion body with high-heel feet & twist waist.
Her photo & description can be found in the book 'Revlon Dolls And Their Look-Alikes' by Kathy Barna, page 56.
Her rooted hair is tinted a beautiful pink shade, blended in with some golden strands. Some of these dolls had jointed elbows, some like this one, did not.
The fairy princess wears her original outfit. This includes a pink net ballet tutu with silver glitter trim. It has a pink rayon underskirt & matching panties. She also wears pink vinyl ballet slippers with rayon ties. Her original wings are missing.
